Time: 11:30 am - 12:00 pm
Speakers:
David De Maria, Director of Sales Canada, Mexico, South America, Dörken Systems

Stucco and manufactured stone have been used in the building industry for ages. These claddings are well known and well used for their leading properties in fire resistance, durability and aesthetics. But many builders are still scratching their heads when it comes to tackling their biggest challenge with this type of finish – moisture. Moisture is a critical concern for stucco and manufactured stone homes. Without the right protection, uncontrolled moisture can lead to mold, wall rot, and decay, and eventually having an impact on both the aesthetics and structural integrity of the home. Dörken welcomes attendees to a live demonstration focused on the best solutions on the market to protect stucco and manufactured stone buildings from incidental moisture. Learn hands-on how to put the right measures in place to keep any moisture from penetrating the wall system and leave confident knowing how to ensure your homes can be better protected for the road ahead.

Change Management in The Digital Age

Time: 1:30 pm - 2:00 pm
Speakers:
Anis Khoury, Solutions Engineer, Procore Technologies
Blake Johnson, Strategic Product Consultant, Procore Technologies

Change is inevitable. Nearly every project will have changes regardless of the solution, so planning for this eventuality up front, and having the proper systems and procedures in place, is crucial for setting yourself up for success. You can learn how to: create change events from mobile devices in the field and access related documents anywhere; manage a single list of all changes, whether they're in-scope, out of scope or what-ifs; provide a collaborative system while still maintaining control over what information your clients and contractors see, and when they see it; and reduce turnaround time by providing public accountability to all parties and automating reminder emails.

The Real Thermal Performance of Wall Assemblies

Time: 2:30 pm - 3:00 pm
Speaker: Joe Innocente, Business Development Manager Wall System, SOPREMA

We cannot continue to build our structures as we have in the past. Climate change is real and is very evident. We burn fossil fuels to warm our buildings and by doing so we release carbon dioxide (CO2) that has an impact on climate change. Renewable energy is typically clean and carbon neutral, however it is expensive and unreliable. The solution is conservation by building energy-efficient building. Examine how to build to reduce CO2 with healthy and safe walls and sustainable construction. Structures that last for generations.

Emerging Leader Award

Time: 4:00 pm - 4:30 pm
