With product systems from wedi, the potential to create safe waterproof shower designs for custom tiled showers is endless. At the core of wedi foam products, offering lightweight handling and elimination of water penetration and absorption, is a closed cell, extruded polystyrene foam. The foam, then coated with a glass mesh and polymer cement coating, not only becomes a perfect bonding surface for tile, but creates a strong, rigid substrate. Add a thermal barrier, and you have the most efficient building panel and shower floor system for any tile application.  From pre-sloped shower bases with linear or point drains to steam room applications and water vapor  barrier solutions, wedi has the right product to offer a 100% waterproof and efficient installation process, while protecting your investment for the long-term.

At Construct Canada 2017 wedi will show its barrier free, curbless shower floor system FUNDO LIGNO for recessed installations into wooden subfloors without cutting into floor joists- the first option for the tile trade that is professionally made for a perfect and safe tile or stone installation!
